“In 2009, Grimes (Canadian singer-songwriter Claire Boucher) and her then-boyfriend from Tennessee constructed a 20-foot houseboat, named the “Velvet Glove Cast in Iron,” with the intention to sail it down the Mississippi River from Minneapolis to New Orleans. The cargo included chickens, a typewriter, 20 pounds of potatoes and a gifted copy of Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.”
The strategy of staring longingly at your opponent is making me uncomfortable.
Very, very uncomfortable.
Look, she made a Fancy Froglin jeans jacket! In other news… it looks like the revamped comic book company Alternative Comics is going to print the definitive Fancy Froglin collection, perhaps next spring… with all the stuff from the first book plus almost 70 pages of new material.
I turned my jean jacket into a super badass James Kochalka anti comic censorship jean jacket
FUNGUS #1 contains two stories. Rotten Little Cuties is about a couple of cool mushroom dudes looking for an awesome party they heard about, and arguing about god. (I did extensive field research in the vernal pools of maine for this. Really! See American Elf April 17 - 20, 2011). Facebook is about two mounds of moss that say they invented Facebook but don’t seem to really understand what it even is. I love this book.
The front & back covers are in 3D, if you happen to own some 3D glasses. (I took the background photo using the 3D camera on the Nintendo 3DS.)
FUNGUS is available now on iBooks and Comixology and iverse for only $1.99.
